Amid the great turnout and
entertainment by Jazzercise instructors, the band Heavy Petty, Fat
Chance Belly Dance, Saadi Student Group, Tatsumaki Taiko, Livewire,
and the Lesbian and Gay Chorus of San Francisco, were moments that
couldn't be captured with the camera but rather with the heart --
like the six foot tall, 200 pound Giovanni stopping his volunteer
work to come closer to the stage and hear 17-year old Becca
Kavanaugh sing "Listen to Your Heart."
"That used to be my
mom's favorite song. She'd play it over and over again....that makes
me think of her," he said as he looked heavenward. The song ended
and he went back to work. Becca, who has been performing at the
annual event since she was 12 years old, really put her all into her
set with no knowledge of how she had touched hearts in such deep
ways. "CBS Broadcasting Inc.CBS
